Bomb Distributor(pg3 Arm) Boxed and
in excellent condition this is a Bomb distributor which was
fitted to the bomb aimers position in the Lancaster and
probably other RAF Wartime heavies. It worked in conjunction

Norden Bombsight(pg3 arm)
The legendary Norden bombsight. This
was one of the best kept secrets of WWII. No aircraft fitted
with one of these was ever left without an armed guard. This
device for accurately dropping bombs from aircraft was one
of the United States' most closely guarded secrets of World
War II. It was originally designed for use on U.S. Navy
aircraft by Carl Norden, a Dutch engineer educated in
Switzerland who immigrated to the U.S. in 1904. The device
used a mechanical analog computer comprised of motors,
gyros, mirrors, levels, gears, and a small telescope. The
bombardier input the necessary information (airspeed,
altitude, etc.) and the bombsight would calculate the
trajectory of the bomb being dropped. Near the target the
aircraft would fly on autopilot to the precise position
calculated by the bombsight and release the ordnance. Using
this device, bombardiers could drop their bombs within a
100-foot circle from an altitude of well over 20,000 feet.
The Norden bombsight was used by RAF
617 Sdr.
This is an extremely rare example of
this classic bombsight and has got to be the ultimate piece
in any WW11 armament collector's, collection. Its in good
original condition, I don't believe its serviceable. It has
a slight crack in the glass on top but we will endeavour to
replace this for the buyer if required. It will be supplied
with a book on a book dedicated to the Norden bombsight.

The Webley Revolver (also
known as the Webley Break-Top Revolver or Webley
Self-Extracting Revolver) was, in various MKs, the standard
issue service pistol for the armed forces of the United
Kingdom, the British Empire and the Commonwaelth from 1887
until 1963.

Deactivated .38 Webley MK IV (pg3 arm)

Used by
officers of the RFC and RAF in both WWI and WWII.
The Webley is a top break
revolver with automatic extraction; breaking the revolver
open for reloading also operates the Extractor, removing the
spent cartridges from the cylinder. The Webley Mk I service
revolver was adopted in 1887, but it
was a later version, the Mk IV,
which rose to prominence during the Boer War of 1899 to 1902.
The Mk VI, introduced in 1915 during WWI is perhaps the
best-known model.
This
pistol is fully deactivated and has a certificate, it can be
legally owed without a licence in the UK.

The Avro Lincoln was a

Lancaster four-engine bomber. The first RAF Lincoln BI flew
on June 9, 1944, and operational squadrons were preparing to
join Tiger force in the war against Japan, when V-J Day was
declared. Although the Lincoln did not take part in World
War II. RAF Lincolns also operated against the terrorists in
Malaya and the Mau-Mau in Kenya. |
