Typhoon/Tempest ASI (pg12 ins)
Here is
an ASI used in the Tempest and Typhoon, this one is most
likely for the Tempest as its dated 1945. The picture is not
representative of the gauge face which looks clean to the
naked eye. The camera flash has made it look like its pitted
this is not the case. The gauge is in very good condition
and appears serviceable.

This is a classic Green bezel
radiator temperature gauge with long capillary for use in
Twin or multiple engine aircraft due to its long capillary.

P12 Compass 2 (pg12 ins)

 |
P12 Compass(pg12 ins)

This is quite a rarity a
P12 compass, this compass is designed to be inverted and
read via the mirror. This compass still has parts of the
mounting bracket that fits to the airframe.
This compass had a number
of applications in various RAF Wartime aircraft including
the Suderland. This one has the EA Lancaster code stamped on
the bracket.
Although the
Lancaster was fitted with the P4 compass on the main
instrument panel it seems that some also used the P12 as a
back up.
Although the paint is a
bit tatty it is complete which is unusual and it had a solid
brass case which would look superb stripped and polished.
